This C. japonica was listed in the 1945 Rhodelia Nursery Catalogue and registered by Otto Schwabe, of West Linn, Oregan in 1981. It was commercially introduced before 1950.
Bloom: The miniature semi-double bloom is blood red. The average flower size is 2.25" with great depth and the form is similiar to the cone of a fir tree.
