This 25-year-old C. reticulata (‘Crimson Robe’ x C. lutchuensis) x ‘Lilette Witman’ first bloomed in 1990. It was originated by Hulyn Smith of Valdosta, Georgia. It was propagated and registered by Randolph Maphis of Tallahassee, Florida.
Bloom: The very large sized 5.25” x 4” semidouble form flower is red with very distinctive white frosting. It has yellow anthers and white filaments. It is a long lasting, profuse bloomer with heavy petal texture and petals stand up. The flowers fall in one piece with consistent form.
Plant: The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for exhibition use.
Leaf: The dark green leaves average 2.5” x 1.5” with low serration.
Bloom season: Late.
