This 6-year-old C. japonica sport of ‘Nan Ford’ first bloomed in 2006. It was originated, registered and propagated by Vernon E. Howell of Lucedale, Mississippi.

Bloom: The very large sized 5.5” x 3” semidouble to full peony to loose peony form flower is dark pink with white variegation. It has bright yellow anthers and bright yellow filaments. The bloom consists of 9+ petals. It rarely shows stamens. The plant is a profuse bloomer with long lasting blooms that fall in one piece with a consistent form with heavy petal texture.

Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.

Leaf: The dark green leaves average 4” x 2” with medium serration.

Bloom season: Early to midseason
