This 10-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2009. It was originated and registered by C.M. and Lillian Gordy of Ocala, Florida and propagated by Loch Laurel Nursery of Valdosta, Georgia.

Bloom: The medium sized 3.75” x 1.5” semidouble form flower is deep red. It has bright gold anthers and pink filaments. It is a long lasting, profuse bloomer that falls in one piece with heavy petal texture and consistent form. The petals often have a waxy look.

Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.

Leaf: The medium green leaves average 3.5” x 2” with medium serration.

Bloom season: Midseason to late.
