This 25-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 1998. It was originated and registered by Jill and Glenn Read, and propagated by Glenn Read Camellia Nursery of Lucedale, Mississippi.

Bloom: The large sized 4.5" x 2" formal double form flower is fully imbricated with radiant deep rose pink petals that darken to a slightly deeper pink at the edges. This profuse bloomer has a heavy bud set, is long lasting with consistent form, heavy petal texture and falls in one piece.

Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.

Leaf: The dark green leaves average 3.25” x 1.25” with low serration.

Bloom season: Midseason to late.
