This 9-year-old C. hybrid chance seedling first bloomed in 2015. It was originated and registered by Jill and Glenn Read, and propagated by Glenn Read Camellia Nursery of Lucedale, Mississippi.
Bloom: The small sized 2.5" x 1.75" loose peony form flower is dark to medium pink shading to a soft frosted pink, intermixed with stamens and white petaloids. It has yellow anthers and white filaments. This profuse bloomer is long lasting with consistent form and falls in one piece. The rose red buds open into a bloom with stacked petals in pronounced and graduating shades of the colors.
Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.
Leaf: The dark green leaves average 2” x 1.25” with low serration.
Bloom season: Midseason to late.
