This C. japonica chance seedling was registered by Dr. William Green (W. G.) Lee of Macon, Georgia.

Bloom: This medium-size 4.75" wide semi-double blooms have three rows of exceedingly large petals, having a width of 2.75" and a depth of 2.5". The blooms are a dark rich red. This is a hearty grower and blooms profusely each year, notwithstanding the fact that the temperature may go below freezing.

Plant: Medium, spreading growth

Leaves: The medium to light green leaves are broad ovate, 3.74" x 2.36" with a short apex, raised venation, and broad, shallow serrations. 

Bloom season: Midseason to late.
