This 9-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first flowered in 1990. It was orignated by William H. Smith of Gainesville, Florida.

Bloom: The small formal double flower is dark red. The average size flower, untreated, is 2.5" - 3" wide and 1"-1.5" deep with 60 petals. Chemically treated flower is 3"- 3.5" wide and 1.5" deep with 64 petals.

Plant: Plant growth is upright, dense and slow.

Leaf: The dark green leaves measure 3.5" long and 1.5" wide.

Bloom Season: Midseason to late
