This 15-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 1971. It was originated and propagated by Grover C. Chester of Augusta, Georgia.
Bloom: The medium sized 3.5" x 2.5" loose peony bloom is white interspersed with medium pink, has 20 petals, 4 petaloids, yellow anther,s and yellow filaments. Three of the 20 petals are usually solid pink with the remaining white petals exhibiting numerous medium pink blotches.
Plant: Plant growth is upright and dense and the growth rate is medium.
Leaf: Dark green leaves are 3.5" x 2.5".
Bloom Season: Midseason to late
