This 5-year-old C. japonica seedling of ‘Kay Berridge’ first bloomed in 2005. It was originated by Howard Rhodes of Tallahassee, Florida and registered and propagated by Randolph Maphis of Tallahassee, Florida.

Bloom: The small sized 2.25” x 1” formal double to semidouble form flower is dark red with pointed petals. It is a long lasting profuse bloomer with consistent form.

Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is slow. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.

Leaf: The dark green leaves average 2.25” x 1.75” with medium serration.

Bloom season: Midseason.
