The 10-year-old C. sasanqua chance seedling first flowered 1984. It was originated by Marvin Jernigan of Warner Robins, Georgia and propagated by Transplant Nursery of Lavonia, Georgia.
Bloom: The medium to large 4" wide and 1. " deep semi-double flower is red with 13 crinkled petals, gold anthers and white filaments.
Plant: Plant growth is upright, dense and vigorous in rate.
Leaf: Dark green leaves are 2.5" x 1"
Bloom Season: Early
