This fourteen-year-old C. japonica ( 'Marie Bracey' x 'Mark Alan') seedling first bloomed in 1976. It was originated by W. F. Homeyer, Jr. of  Macon, Georgia, and propagated by R. L. Brent of Belle Fontaine and Wilkes Nurseries. It was introduced in 1979.

Bloom: The medium formal double bloom is amaranth rose shading to phlox pink with spirea red veining. The coloring is very unique becomes lighter shades of pink early in the season, with deeper pink blooms with lavender veining as the season progresses.  The average size flower is 3.25" x .75"-1" with 103 petals.

Plant: The growth habit is spreading and open. The growth rate is medium.

Leaf: Dark green leaves are 5" long and 2" wide.

Bloom Season: Early to late
