This chance japonica seedling first flowered in 1947. It was originated, registered and propagated by Edward A. McIlhenny at Jungle Gardens, Avery Island, Louisiana.

Bloom: The medium sized 3.1 inches across x 1.77 inches semi-double is white, variegated with rose-pink. It is deep with crinkled, erect, center petals, white filaments and brown anthers.

Plant: The plant habit is tall, bushy and medium. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.

Leaves: The mid-green, stiff leaves are , 4.33 inches long x 1.96 inches wide and recurved with prominent venation and acuminate apices.
