This 15-year-old C. japonica chance seedling of 'Beatrix Hoyt Variegated' first bloomed in 2011. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia.
Bloom: The small sized 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" formal double form flower is blush pink. This cultivar is a profuse bloomer, falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petal texture and has consistent form.
Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition.
Leaf: The dark green leaves average 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" with medium serration.
Bloom season: Early to midseason
