This 30-year-old C. japonica chance seedling was originated by Richard Dodd of Marshallville, Georgia, and registered and propagated by County Line Nursery of Byron, Georgia.
Bloom: The medium sized 4” x .75” formal double form flower is reddish purple to deep purple. The bloom has reddish purple inner petals to deeper purple outer petals, with dark purple radial veining. It is a profuse bloomer with long lasting flowers that fall in one piece with consistent form.
Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.
Leaf: The dark green leaves average 3.75” x 2” with medium serration.
Bloom season: Midseason to late.
