This 20-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 1998. It was originated, registered and propagated by James R.S. Toland of Sacramento, California.

Bloom: The small to medium sized 2.5 to 3.25” x 1.5” semidouble form flower is cerise (pinky-red). It has 9 petals with yellow anthers and white filaments. The long lasting flowers fall in one piece with consistent form.

Plant: The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses.

Leaf: The dark green leaves average 2.5” x 1” with medium serration.

Bloom season: Midseason.
