The Brookhaven Camellia Society is a local society, affiliated with the American Camellia Society, whose members meet the each month typically with members hosting monthly meeting in their homes. The monthly meetings are devoted to various aspects of camellias. Monthly meeting dates & venues are announched each month to avoid clash with other events. The BCS also makes numerous field trips and excursions.
Annual dues are $10 for individuals and $15 for a family. A monthly newsletter is sent out to members prior to each meeting.
The annual Brookhaven Camellia Show is generally held on the first Saturday & Sunday in February each year, and is open to the public on Saturday from 2-5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12 - 4:00 p.m. Judging by American Camellia Society Certified Judges begins promptly at 12:00 noon. on Saturday. Camellia plants will be on sale from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
