The Coastal Carolina Camellia Society in the Charleston area is a local society, affiliated with the American Camellia Society. Email us or follow us on Facebook for information on how to join and/or attend our meetings and events.
The Coastal Carolina Camellia Society usually meets from September through April. Monthly meetings typically feature a program or guest speaker. Currently our club meets at James Island Town Hall (unless otherwise indicated) at 1122 Dills Bluff Rd., SC 29412.
In addition to monthly meetings, membership includes club projects including our annual judged camellia show, plant sales, work day at Magnolia Gardens, and plant auction/ summer picnic.
The Spring Show is normally held on the fourth Saturday in January. Blooms are entered from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM and there is no entry fee and club members will be on hand to assist newcomers.
Gardeners wishing to determine their unknown varieties of camellias are encouraged to bring them for identification. Properly identified blooms are eligible for entry in the show, if entered by entry deadline. We hope to see you there!
