Elected by: Board Development Committee
Term Length: Three Years

Responsibilities General:
  • Each State Director is responsible for representing and advocating for the American Camellia Society within his/her state.
  • Responsible for increasing membership in his/her state.
Responsibilities Specific:
  • Responsible for increasing membership in his/her state.
  • Responsible for starting new clubs in his/her state and rejuvenating faltering or defunct clubs.
  • State Directors are expected to attend meetings of the Council of State Directors held twice each year in conjunction with the ACS Convention and Fall Meeting, and at other times as required.
  • Make every effort to attend as many local or state camellia society meetings, shows and other camellia related events as possible.
  • Give talks concerning camellia culture, details of the ACS, and the benefits of membership.
  • Submit a written report of activities on behalf of the ACS which is to be in the hands of the Executive Director two weeks prior to the Fall and Annual Meetings of the ACS.
