Keeper of the Wayward Flower is a beautifully paced and elegantly written novel that transports readers to the early 1900s where they are introduced to the DeGraf family. Opposing elements of human existence struggle to find a natural balance in this complex tale of love and obsession. Albert DeGraf, whose life is dedicated to beauty and artistic freedom, tries to come to terms with his love for his eldest brother's wife, Catherine, who in turn, shares his feelings. Dictated by society's rules and her own staunch upbringing, Catherine finds herself torn between her passion for Albert and her duty to her husband. She eventually finds relief from these conflicts in an unexpected way.
