The Camellia Club of New Orleans was founded in 1939 making it one of the oldest camellia clubs in the country. The purpose of the club is to promote the knowledge and propagation of camellias through monthly meetings, events, and the annual show held the last Saturday in January. All are welcome to attend the meetings and the show and to join the club. The Camellia Club of New Orleans meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm from September - April at the Jefferson Parish Library - Old Metairie at 2350 Metairie Road in Metairie, LA 70001
